Great Grooms of Hungerford

Situated just off the M4 (junction 14) within easy reach of both Heathrow and Gatwick and with a main line railway station direct to London Paddington.
The showrooms are within a Georgian house dating from the 1770`s. On display at the property is the earliest surviving land deed, dated 1713 in the reign of Queen Anne when the property was used as a tannery.

Situated beside the trout filled River Dunn and Between the famous Bear Hotel and Lamb Inn, the property has extensive gardens displaying garden statuary.

Hungerford with nearby Littlecote House and its Civil War history makes an excellent day out. It is a well established town for the antique enthusiast and dealer and close to ancient market and historic towns.

At Great Grooms in Hungerford, we have a variety of showrooms displaying a wide cross-section of specialist antiques. All items at Great Grooms are displayed in room settings and are in pristine or fully restored condition. We have our own in-house workshops and team of conservationists covering all fields of restoration. Our corporate identity is linked with the racing fraternity. Newbury Room

On display in the Newbury room is fine English furniture from early 17th century oak, 18th to 19th century walnut, mahogany and rosewood furniture.

Champion Room

In the champion room (Opened by Bob Champion, Jockey and Grand National winner) you will find a large selection of 18th and 19th century English and continental furniture predominantly for the dining room. We also have a variety of picture experts displaying important 17th and 18th century old master paintings, 18th to 19th century oils and watercolours and 18th to 20th century prints and engravings.

Entrance Hall

We have on display the widest variety of cabinet goods including experts in boxes, tea caddies, glass, porcelain, pottery, staffordshire, jewelry, silver flatware and cutlery, an eclectic mix of memorabilia.

We even have a specialist dealer in door furniture and brasses and also a large selection of lighting including table lamps and chandeliers.

Lambourne Room

Fine 18th to 20th century Eastern and European rugs and carpets.

Ascot Room

A diverse collection of oriental lacquer and hardwood furniture and accessories.
